Did you update the encode servers as well? Usually they should work across some version numbers, but in general, it's a good idea to have all components on the same version.

I just tried .42 talking to an .44 encode server between my two Macs, and they can see each other. That is, .42 sees .44 encode servers, and .44 sees .42 encode servers.

Maybe you need to re-establish firewall settings?

Which version did you use before?

edit: I can confirm that 2.10.5 does not see 2.11.44 encode servers, if you have been using 2.10.5 before, that is too much of a version difference.

I couldn't get the encode servers to work over 2.11.44. Went back to 2.10.5

I've gone back to 2.10.5. I'm running a PC and a Mac via gigabit ethernet. I can get the encode servers to work through the Dcp-o-matic main window, but cannot get it to run in the batch converter.

I am using a Windows machine and a Mac. The main program window sees the encode servers, but batch converter does not.

Batch converter needs it's own firewall rule, maybe that's the problem. I just updated both my Macs and my windows 7 machine to 2.11.44, let's see...
