Re: An attempt to download certificate from Dolby results in an error message

If you shared all the relevant logs, it seems that the forms that the program is trying to use (and it tries a few different masks for the serial number) do not correspond to the IMS3000 template, which looks like /Certificates/363xxx/cert_SPB_MD_FM_SM.Dolby-IMS3000_CID1002_SMPTE-######.zip and /Cer...

Re: Loop reel instead of copy (minimize size)

What comes to mind when I think about such a feature is actually a combination of different projects. Like the Add DCP feature. Actually, being able to add DCPs that can be used as reels (or as multi-reels) to create a combination of them without duplicating the assets, but using them repeatedly. As...

Re: Loop reel instead of copy (minimize size)

Dear Carsten, by starting with "Again", you gave me the impression that either of us or both try to convince the other about what our personal opinions are and what we want to communicate. That isn't and wasn't my intention. My intention is to share the idea of a feature that, indeed is not availabl...

Re: Loop reel instead of copy (minimize size)

What I was thinking is rather user defined, not automatic. Meaning, creating a description of one or more "blocks" (where "block" is a specific part of video, audio, etc. or a sequence of different clips/imported DCPs or other files) and handling those "blocks". If I was to try and find an analogy h...

Re: Loop reel instead of copy (minimize size)

It took me a few minutes to create an account, but I did. What I wrote and I'd like to repeat here, so to put another perspective on the subject is the following: The CPL structure can be a very powerful tool for getting more content with less data usage. The benefit would be not only on the data vo...

Loop reel instead of copy (minimize size)

There is something that I was trying to do lately and I couldn't. I think it would be a great feature though. It might be that I try to do things the wrong way or that there is no way (yet?/). Either in creating test patterns, or ads, or repetitive video and/or audio, one might need to repeat small ...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

As the OP of this thread, I maybe should write here what is written in this thread about the fact that the issue is (somehow) resolved. I did two tests with the latest stable today (2.14.17), and I can't find any frame-rate inconsistencies or misinterpretations on the exports. Not when someone expor...

Re: add PAC subtitles PC for projecting WITH DCP SERVER

After agreeing with all above/before, and based on their posts, I will write that there are some servers that offer Linear Timecode (LTC) output and the SMPTE ST430-10 protocol for synchronising auxiliary content might be the way to implement things, as Gunnar suggested with his reference to CaptiVi...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

So my question was: What effect does this interpretation really have when actually working with the exported ProRes? If you are exporting in order to use the export with DCP-o-matic, I don't see any effect on it. I think I wrote it too, that when I imported the exports on DCP-o-matic, the frame cou...

Re: Working with a film at 2.75:1

Instead of using a preset "scale to X", try "no stretch".
Yet, with Scope, that is the widest aspect ratio on Digital Cinema, you can't avoid letterboxing for 2.75.
