Re: add PAC subtitles PC for projecting WITH DCP SERVER

After agreeing with all above/before, and based on their posts, I will write that there are some servers that offer Linear Timecode (LTC) output and the SMPTE ST430-10 protocol for synchronising auxiliary content might be the way to implement things, as Gunnar suggested with his reference to CaptiVi...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

So my question was: What effect does this interpretation really have when actually working with the exported ProRes? If you are exporting in order to use the export with DCP-o-matic, I don't see any effect on it. I think I wrote it too, that when I imported the exports on DCP-o-matic, the frame cou...

Re: Working with a film at 2.75:1

Instead of using a preset "scale to X", try "no stretch".
Yet, with Scope, that is the widest aspect ratio on Digital Cinema, you can't avoid letterboxing for 2.75.

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

Well, in-house (that is less serious), it does cause duration difference of the video in an editor, so it could end up in an increasingly bad synchronisation of different essences. Forwarding the export to third parties, on the other hand, could lead to the file not being accepted. The first issue t...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

The MediaInfo program is reporting the file(s) on Frame Rate Mode as Variable. It states 24.000 fps but it has minimum and maximum also, giving a 0.004 tolerance and doesn't report number of total frames. Frame rate mode : Variable Frame rate : 24.000 FPS Minimum frame rate : 23.994 FPS Maximum fram...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

The thing is that I observe the issue in Premiere, the import of the ProRes back to DCP-o-Matic doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. So, given the fact that the ratio of the extra frames here is one every (roughly) 3720, I don't expect artifacts like interleaved frames as much as, some kind of...

Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

I tried to find a similar thread, but I didn't. So, if I may, I would like to ask for collective help. I exported a few DCPs to ProRes from the "export" feature. When I import them to Adobe Premiere Pro, the frame rate turns to "24.01" and the frames appear to be more than the DCP. Here is an exampl...

Re: Sony 4K Projector Not Seeing DCPs

Since I happened to read this, two things to note: Yes, the small touch-screens for 320 series are not any more supported by sony and their replacements are the touch-screens that are used on newer models. The CRU slots for S10 are actually optional. I never installed or came upon such a working ser...

...DCP with a CPL identical to the original.
That I didn't quite understood...
Identical would mean having the same elements and UUID also, but that can not be the case.

Re: Unable to install release 2.12.4 on Ubuntu and Xubuntu 18.04

I had the same issue, since upgrading to 18.04, having the previous version of DCP-o-matic automatically uninstalled.
It's been more than three weeks from ClavdioV's post, but for whatever help might be, the work around I used was to install the latest (at the time) test version, 2.13.20
