Re: Subtitles out of sync

The data you share, Mikael are a bit confusing: a) You “convert a movie” (from a BluRay rip?) and choose “Burn subtitles into image”. b) The “VF-version” you make, is on an OV DCP you made with the same settings and video source as (a), but without using subtitles at all? c) You write “the blueraymo...

[Solved on 2.14.48] Preview window edges (2.14.47 Windows)

Carsten, the 2.14.48 version might have been available from the end of March or whenever. But when I was visiting the address you give, I was getting the 2.14.47 that was there since December. So it was available elsewhere. By writing what you write, one could get the impression that when I created ...

Re: Preview window edges (2.14.47 Windows)

I don't think I still have 2.14.47, I just updated to 2.14.48 ... Well, it seems you are using a non-publicly available version. I am having DCP-o-matic on full screen always. Usually on 1920x1080. Does anyone else has experience of this effect? Having the version that came out December and availab...

Re: How to load a DKDM

O.K. Thanks.
@Carl:
Please consider automating (D)KDMs availability -with some indication, maybe- on the main application and player when already inserted and available on KDM Creator.

Re: Preview window edges (2.14.47 Windows)

Carsten, in the past I didn't experience black pixels on two of the four sides of picture. Those edges were not there on previous versions of the application, on the same HD monitors. So my goal is to understand if there are display settings that I can tinker to get back to "normal" or if ...

[Solved on 2.14.48] Preview window edges (2.14.47 Windows)

I recently had difficulty to figure out how to crop out some letterboxing on a scope video. It seems that on the right and lower sides of the preview window, there is at least a pixel in the edge that remains black. On 2.14.31, that I have on a Mac the edges of the preview window are clear. Is it me...

Re: How to load a DKDM

Was that discussion private, or you have a link of the thread we can contribute? I would add to that discussion that there is no much advancement on efficiency if, in favour of understanding the procedure, we deny ourselves automation. Our experience on cinema projection, Carsten, would advocate tha...

Re: How to load a DKDM

I wonder if a scheme where DCP-o-matic is looking in its database for existing (D)KDMs for a particular CPL would work.
It would definitely save some time on editing and checking with the player as well.

Re: 2.0 (3840x1920) Aspect Ratio DCP

Not a good idea for 2.0:1 content. There is an explicit recommendation by ISDCF to use flat for content up to 2.3:1 --- While I agree, I should mention that, from time to time and depending on who-is-who, the creator may have the final word. An example for that is a recent title coming from Hamlet'...

Re: OCAP, problem, help, please!

Well, I just sent the metadata of such an occasion. I guessed that it would be a matter of time until I get this happening again. What I did at first, on a 2.14.33 version, was to use the subtitles out of an .mkv file. Interop, 24fps. The font was missing in the DCP's subtitles folder. I then, tried...
