Re: DOREMI DCP-2K4
I know Dolby changed the root passwords on 2.8.26 at least for the IMS2000. Contact Dolby tech support and they should give you all the default passwords.

Re: GPU based DCP encoding
Thanks Carl. I understand it won't be free, more than happy to splurge for it. Thanks!

Re: GPU based DCP encoding
When GPU encoding arrives, what GPU will it be optimized for? I'm building a new machine at home and want to buy the correct hardware

Re: new computer build
Looks like a lot of the threads aren't being used. My experience is the CPU usage should be at or close to 100%.

Re: Trying to sync up multi reel subtitle files
Thanks Carl,
I did use the " Add DCP " option. But the subtitles wouldn't import.
I ended up manually adding them and adjusting the position by hand. They were all off for 38 seconds or so. Quite bizarre.
I don't speak French, so I hope they are in the right place

Trying to sync up multi reel subtitle files
Hello, I've got a DCP here that's been delivered into multiple reels. I'm trying to make an MP4 version of this and running into problems getting the subtitles to sync up. Each subtitle " reel " xml file is in its own folder with an Ariel Jumbo font file. Not sure how to proceed with this ...

Re: Thank You
Best a question for Carl to answer, but I'd really like to see GPU encoding come to dcpomatic. The cost of building a machine to do serious encoding would come way down if GPU power was able to do the heavy lifting. Could be wrong but I think Wraptor does this already.

Re: Creating a DCP-o-matic Workstation
I never did look the differences beyond MP4 vs Prores. 1080P trailers from Youtube convert at 45-50 fps as well, so it must be related to compression rather than resolution. Curious to know what OS the poster with the single 6132 is running. Hopefully it's Ubuntu and then they can run htop and see a...

Re: Creating a DCP-o-matic Workstation
Intel Xeon Gold 6132 2,6 -single. 64 Gb Ram. 16 -17 fps!!! This is normal? We have the dual Xeon 6132 listed in the benchmark page. Converting a Bluray MKV or Prores to DCP runs at 22-26FPS. That's also with 192GB of ram, not that Dcpomatic really uses it. Converting MP4 though, converts it a...
