Re: Help wanted with testing on M1 (Apple Silicon) Mac

Hi rob,

That's fantastic news! Thank you for taking the time to test it!

It would be great if you could run the Sintel benchmark, if you get a moment - that would make it easier to compare M1 performance against other CPUs.

Best,
Carl

Re: transferring DCP to flash drive

This is sometimes the hardest part of the process. DCP-o-matic has a tool in "beta test" to solve the problem, called "DCP-o-matic Disk Writer". You can try it out if you install the test release . This software is still being tested, so please make sure you have a recent backup ...

Help wanted with testing on M1 (Apple Silicon) Mac

Hi all, There is a build of DCP-o-matic here which should hopefully run in "native" (ARM) mode on the new M1 macs. I would be interested to hear if it even runs on a M1 mac, and if it does, whether it's definitely running the ARM binary (not using rosetta); it looks like you can tell this ...

Re: Running DOM on M1 Mac?

The build here should contain a universal binary for both Intel and ARM. I would be interested to hear if it even runs on a M1 mac, and if it does, whether it's definitely running the ARM binary (not using rosetta); it looks like you can tell this by doing something like described here . I haven't t...

Re: Could not open MXF file for reading (error-101)

The most likely reason for this is a corrupted file. Can you run the DCP-o-matic verifier on the DCP? It's in the player (Tools menu).

Re: Running DOM on M1 Mac?

That's very helpful, thank you. I have a bit of work to do yet on getting DoM to build for the apple-arm but I'll let you know when I've got something to test!

Support for macOS pre 10.9

Hi all, It's that time of year again when I try to work out if anybody is using DCP-o-matic on a macOS version earlier than the 2013 release of Mavericks (10.9). If you use DCP-o-matic on Mountain Lion, Lion or Snow Leopard (10.8, 10.7 or 10.6) can you post a quick message in this thread? If nobody ...

Re: User question - interface complexity "simple" / "full"

Thanks all for your comments. I have taken "simple" mode out of the forthcoming 2.16.0 release.
