Re: Suddenly weird errors when verifying DCP with Player
Since this seems to be biting more people than I expected, I'll make a release with the fix.

Re: New verifier issues with IOP
Hello, I'm happy to try and keep these distributors happy, within reason! What version of DCP-o-matic are you using to make your DCPs? I just made an Interop one with the latest stable and as far as I can see these two errors are not included... Perhaps you could also attach/send a CPL that attracte...

Re: Anyway to select SMPTE A to avoid metadata issues?
It's a difficult area. We're doing some tests now against EasyDCP 4.1.2 so hopefully that should clarify things a bit. Maybe the Bv2.0 option can go away again... I'm hoping to work out whether it's even possible to make DoM reasonably "foolproof" against all "QC" software that i...

Re: Suddenly weird errors when verifying DCP with Player
Right, when it's working properly it should mean that some part of the XML doesn't match the XSD.

Re: Suddenly weird errors when verifying DCP with Player
The XML malformed errors should be gone in this build if anybody wants to try it out.

Re: Suddenly weird errors when verifying DCP with Player
Ooops, I mistook that as the FFEC/FFMC marker requirement for FTR vs. other content types. Still, 'error' or 'warning'? Hard to say - it's quite difficult to decide with most of the errors/warnings to be honest! What is this 'XML malformed' thing? Is it because the XML file does not comply with an ...

Re: Suddenly weird errors when verifying DCP with Player
Hi, Thanks for the report. There's a missing file in the Windows installer. I'll post a link to a new build to try out soon. That entry point 'error' is not an error I think it is. The CPL standard says that EntryPoint and Duration should not be present in markers tags. DCP-o-matic got this wrong un...

Re: Anyway to select SMPTE A to avoid metadata issues?
I could easily be confused. It's hard to work out what's going on between different Easy DCP versions and awkward distributors.

Re: Anyway to select SMPTE A to avoid metadata issues?
I can't believe that creating Bv2.0 solves any issue with Deluxe or any other commercial mastering service. That may have been a useful option 3-4 years ago, but Bv2.1/RDD52 is the only way to go now. It's mostly to try and debug/get to the bottom of these complaints from "QC" runs about ...

Re: Anyway to select SMPTE A to avoid metadata issues?
I added an advanced option in the latest version (in the "non-standard") tab to alllow use of SMPTE Bv2.0 (which should remove the MCASubDescriptors stuff) but I have one report that using this makes "verification" fail on Easy DCP with a different error. If anyone has Easy DCP a...
