Re: Understanding the inner workings of the Mid-side decoder...
I'll just add my two cents here: DOM should probably have a few options for mid-side processing* based on the ones available here: http://elias.altervista.org/html/3_speaker_matrix.html * I think the "Mid-side decoder" in DOM should be renamed "Mid-side processor" or "Stereo...

Re: Pillar Boxing in 16:9 Ratio
OK, I should have said that on our fixed 16:9 screen, when 16:9 content is in a flat DCP, we zoom the projector so as to fit vertically, thus projecting the black pillars outside the 16:9 screen.

Re: Pillar Boxing in 16:9 Ratio
The projector lens zoom has to be adjusted so as to put the black outside the visible screen.vinnie_pooh wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 6:02 pm I've got a 16:9 film (3200x1800) which keeps appearing with pillar boxing as a DCP!

Re: Subtitle positioning: help required!
when making a DCP from a Blu-ray, PGS subtitles are not following the cropping set in the Content/Video tab. Adjustments have to be done in the Content/Timed text tab to match what is seen when watching the Blu-ray source. vlcsnap-2023-02-20-12h47m03s747.png Capture d’écran, le 2023-02-20 à 12.58.2...
