Re: Change CPL Name (and j2c /pcm)
I think that is not possible currently. Unless Carl has implemented secret naming parameters that are not indicated in that dialog. I have a faint memory about a discussion on the forum or Mantis that this should be possible, e.g. using project/film name in that dialog. Carl will probably chime in. ...

Re: Change Line spacing in subtitles.
Line spacing can only be adjusted when creating subtitles from SRT files, as then, DCP-o-matic can fully control subtitle rendering. When using timed text for open captions, the projector or server renders the subtitles according to parameters set in the XML file, which does not control line spacing...

Re: Bizarre 5.1 audio issue
I think we should not enforce this full channel layout on users/SMPTE DCPs in general. We could simply use an additional name/description for the 16ch layout, and let the user decide to select it. A regular hint towards this could be given in the regular hints dialog.

Re: Weird color shift on laser projection
Quite a few people think that laser projection is difficult to calibrate for a broader audience's perception. Note there are different types of laser projectors with different types of laser light sources. Some are more prone to color ambiguities than others. You are right, though, that, properly ca...

Re: making a VF for a DCP not authored in DOM
When referencing an OV, DCP-o-matic can only take the existing OV reel structure, reuse it, and apply the same reel segmenting to any new content added to the VF. The moment you check 'Use this DCP's video as OV and make VF', the reel config automatically changes to 'split by video content' - which,...

Re: Problems importing a large J2C sequence
Maybe - just for the fun of it, you could try to format the same external disk to NTFS (or whatever the native OS filesystem is), and just try the sequence import again. Maybe something weird happens because of ExFAT.

Re: making a VF for a DCP not authored in DOM
Current versions of DCP-o-matic offer to set current DCP properties from a loaded one. That makes it easy to create a VF with the same properties as the OV. Load OV DCP and right-click on it!

Re: Second box for helping with encoding
FAST remote encoder boxes saturate a gigabit ethernet connection quickly. If you use a decent number of slower boxes, this is not an issue.

Re: DCP ingest error - file size is incorrect
Somebody didn't pay attention downloading the file. There are two ways to download files from a dropbox account that is not your own - as a browser download (download/save as), or, copy file to your own dropbox (if they have an account that has enough capacity). Then their Dropbox client will downlo...
