Re: how to modify start time

You can trim under the 'Timing' tab. Both from start and from end. If your video and audio are aligned, trim video and audio by the same amount. If your audio is split in separate per channel files, make sure you trim every file by the same amount. Note that you can select multiple pieces of content...

Re: how to modify start time

Currently, the only way is to actually trim your 2-pop off - externally, or within DCP-o-matic. Yes, leaving them in the reels invisibly is common practice, but not demanded in any spec. It is a feature that is useful within separate post production of video and audio in order to be able to check sy...

Re: Audio map

Lfe is for 'low frequency effects. That is, basically, the rumble you hear (feel) in action movies. For most applications not involving a professional soundtrack editor, you should not use Lfe, as it also difficult to check it's content in home listening environments. I just suggest to activate thes...

Re: Audio map

There seem to be two stereo audio tracks in this ProRes file. You can can listen to both if you check/uncheck them in the matrix. Not sure what could be in the second stereo/2-channel stream. There could be a separate center channel for dialog. You can actually play the video and check/uncheck the m...

Re: Stalls at Setting Up

That is typical for either corrupted, or incompatible pref files. I see that message often, because I often switch back and forth between new and old versions for testing.

Re: Still DCP's have no assetmap

Must be specific to your installation. I create loads of 10s stills from single PNGs every week and all our DCPs are complete and ingest fine.

Re: Creating my first DKDM for Distribution

One could have a look at the distributor certificate validity, and to be on the safe side, set your DKDM time window within that span. Sometimes very long validities cause unexpected results. Depending on the application for distribution, I guess everything between 1 and 10 years could be useful val...

Re: Stalls at Setting Up

Shouldn't trashing prefs solve these issues?

The way I understand the programming/binary structure, uninstalling and reinstalling typically doesn't solve issues. Trashing prefs does.

Re: playback in dcpomatic and converted video low frame rate

I suggest you first try to export an MP4 file, with a video quality setting of around 40 or so. Then check this in e.g. VLC if the playback is smooth. That test should show wether there is a systematic issue with your DCP or parameters. What frame rate is your original DCP? You should adjust your DO...
