Thanks, that makes sense since there is not resolution benefit to using Academy aperture as the container. I'll probably make both a 2K and 4K.

DOM setup for Full Aperture
I have a silent film output file at 2048x1556 full aperture. In Content tab I scale to 4x3. In the DCP tab what container should I use?
Should I use 2K or 4K resolution.
Thanks!

Re: dcp folder name question
Thanks for the help. I understand this language name option item now. I had not seen it in earlier DCP folder titles.

dcp folder name question
This name was generated for a dcp we are making.
WtDR_FTR-1_F-190_XX-XX_51_4K_20221205_SMPTE_OV
Is it ok to have the XX-XX in the name? I believe they refer to padding which is 0 in this case.
Is it ok to delete the XX-XX?
Thanks,
CG

Re: click at reel change in multi reel dcp
Client decided a single reel DCP was ok.
I think the clicks must have come from
cutting the master in Premiere.
Thanks,
Christopher

Re: click at reel change in multi reel dcp
Thanks for the comments and questions The client has to deliver a DCP with reels. The DCP we made from the single Prores 5.1 interleave file is fine, no clicks. Here's a link to the metadata and the mxf files between which are audio click. https://fil.email/ukZspUX3 In case the folders are not prese...

click at reel change in multi reel dcp
We're making our first multi reel DCP. Client supplied the reels 4k ProRes 24fps 5.1 interleaved. When QC'd by distributor they find single clicks at 2 reel changes. They say click is very faint when playing in Clipster but louder when played back in theater. When we listen in the DCP o Matic player...

encoding error
Here's the error note:
Error: Programming error at ../src/lib/player.cc:639
This error has happened twice right at the end of encoding.
Show is HD/2K 5.1 60 minutes from prores master using a 2nd file for the 5.1 audio
I sent a error report out of DCP-o-Matic.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

7.1 or 7.1 film track assignment
I'm making my first 7.1 DCP. For 5.1 I've used regular 5.1 track assignment, not 5.1 film.
Does that hold true for 7.1, or should I use 7.1 film.
Thanks,
CG
