Re: Safest thing to do with sterio source material

I have only recently tried the 5.1 encoding of stereo files. For some files this works well but for others I would prefer to encode stereo and playback using a Prologic setting on the CP750. Initially I was going to encode all stereo to 5.1 upmixer B, decoding to Discrete on the CP750. This was to o...

Drive Format, Size and Copying from Server

Using DCP-O-Matic we make quite a lot of local material at our cinema including advertising, trailers, DVD/Blu-ray conversion, and conversion of video files submitted by film Makers. I am using 4TB Ext2 and Ext3 drives in DX115DC carriers to back up files off a Dolby DSS220. Files on these drives ca...

Audio Delay

Hi Carl
I would like to use the audio delay feature to get video and audio in sync for a conversion.
Is there any way of playing the file in DCP-o-matic with audio so the delay can be adjusted correctly.
Regards
Peter.

Re: Working projectors/servers survey

Hi Carl. In a previous post I have mentioned the equipment we have at Swanpool Cinema in Victoria Australia where I am a projectionist. The cinema is a community volunteer based organisation and we have been most fortunate in securing funding recently to now have in operation a Dcinema system consis...

Audio Crackling

I recently converted a Brain Farm Digital Cinema Reel 2012 from Vimeo to a DCP using DVD O Matic and found sections of the audio had a distinct crackle which was not in the original mp4 download. After checking the DVD and DCP O Matic websites I re-encoded the file with the Audio gain set to -12db. ...
