Re: importing DKDM
If you did not make backup of the config and cinema files nothing of your old dkdm will work anymore. Your old setup of the computer had special certificate for the encryption process. So if you have nothing else than the dkdm from the features they wont work anymore since they where for your old se...

Re: Name of acts/reels visible in cinema?
The name of the reels wont be visable in the cinema. The only title that is visable is the name of the dcp. It has nothing with to do with DoM. The reel is kind of background process. In the cinema you can skip to next reel but the reels will not have visable names.

Re: File size limitations for uncompressed multichannel audio files
You could also export these channels out as 6 separate mono files and then map the audio correctly inside DoM.
If you include in the filename R, C, LFE, Ls and Rs then DoM will most of time automatically map each channel correctly.

Re: specific workflow for OV/VF from multistream MKV content
Another problem that you forgot to mention. Most of the time the blu ray frame rate is 23.976, that is not problem. DCP o Matic will speed the OV up to 24fps. However when it then comes to create the 7.1 version file from the MKV then that is still in the frame rate of 23.976 that does not match the...

Re: encrypted mxf
As just regular user here i thing this is completely normal. The KDM/DKDM is given for the cpl of the DCP, so i think encrypted standalone mxf file will not be unencrypted via kdm by itself since the KDM/DKDM is for the whole DCP pack (CPL) Maybe i am wrong but i thing this is very normal and is not...

Re: DCI Compliant
If i may jump into this conversation. No, the big hollywood studios do not give KDM for non-dci compliant system. They always ask for of cource the server cert of the screen and a serial and stuff like that. The company deluxe that make kdm's for those big studios have list of every certificate cine...

Re: Custom subtitle posistion?
Thank you. My subtitle software (EZ Titles) can export out XML digital cinema subtitle. If i load that XML into DoM will it convert it to its own xml or use it as it is? Because if i add SRT into DoM and then create VF the XML will then have different position codes than the EZ Titles. SRT into DoM ...

Re: Custom subtitle posistion?
Yes. It would be great if there would be some WYSIWYG feature in those subtitle softwares that could then be exported to subtitle format that DoM can use without loose the position info. I am not at the computer now but i belive hit enter 2-3 times in the srt file to add new lines to that subtitle w...
