Re: Working with a film at 2.75:1

Unfortunately, the trailers are 2.75:1, but using square pixel aspect ratio. So, they do not have that specific problem with no-stretch scaling.

Re: Working with a film at 2.75:1

Your confusion is much appreciated ;-) This is not an easy one, as the source, in addition to the display aspect ratio of 2.75:1 also has a pixel aspect ratio of 2:1 - so, non-square Pixels. Please, enable 'outline content' under preview and post a new screenshot. If you want to have fun, read this ...

Re: Audio delay out on video

With data rate I mean J2K bandwidth for compression. But I see that is set to 125MBit/s - perfectly okay. sigh... this 'Maniac' project looks completely normal. A standard Bluray rip to MKV. Nothing special. Did that many times before, never had issues... Maybe I'll get the time to do a run with 2.1...

Re: Audio delay out on video

What data rate have you chosen for this DCP?

At least in 2.14.11, I know that there is no principal bug, as I created a 95min DCP just a few days ago which showed no sync issues throughout.

Weird...

Re: Flat 1:78 Bars at the top?

Scale to: Flat 1:78 You can only scale to one or the other - for a 1920/1080 footage with no black bars in it (active/effective aspect ratio of 16/9-1.78:1), container should indeed be 'Flat', and ScaleTo 1.78:1/16:9. And as you expect, that should only add lean black bars on both sides. As Carl se...

Re: DCP Player Video Out

Carl would need some extra time to implement a driver. There are a few other issues to solve in the player before a dedicated video out would come into focus, I assume.

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

Oh, I don't want to express this issue as being irrelevant - I am sure Carl will find some reason for this in the export parameters to fix it. As I said, when I reimported the export into DCP-o-matic, the number of frames is the same as for the DCP. So my question was: What effect does this interpre...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

I added some more info on this to the Mantis entry. Now, Carl may find a reason for this weirdness, but - does it cause any real issues when dealing with the export in video editors? I understand it is irritating upon first observation, but as long as it doesn't cause e.g. audio sync issues, I'd try...
