Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

I have seen that 'variable' frame rate thing before where the indicated frame rate is slightly off, but not in DCP-o-matic so far. But I don't export too often. Wondering wether it could be something with non-aligned audio/video in the trailer? A DCP contains a distinct number of frames. However, wh...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

Hmm. Must be a Premiere thingy. I just exported a commercial trailer to both ProRes and MP4. The resulting files are reported with same number of frames (2197 frames for DCP, Prores and MP4). Quicktime Player reports them as 24 fps. I used DCP-o-matic 2.14.11 stable on a Mac. Do you know Media Info?...

Re: 5.1 Audio with Stereo Tracks 7 & 8

Just leave those extra Lt/Rt tracks unchecked in matrix as shown, and everything is well.

Are you sure the channel order in your source file matches dcinema L/R/C/LFE/Ls/Rs ?

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

My first try would be to open that Prores File in Quicktime Player. I do have Premiere on my Laptop, but, usually, as far as I know, if you import, Premiere will already do some kind of interpretation based on the current timeline settings (e.g. from 24 to 23.98). Why it wouldn't do that for MP4 the...

Re: Exporting to ProRes (packaging?) and frame-rate accuracy.

My first test would be to create a DCP with an upcounting counter. I did a simple MP4 counting up with frame accuracy as a source a while a go for similar tests. Then export the DCP to ProRes and MP4 and see what comes out.

Re: URGENT: Hash mismatch

It's not that we have issues around Paragon daily, but, they pop up every now and then... https://dcpomatic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1434 and especially this one: https://dcpomatic.com/mantis/view.php?id=1631 When is this DCP due to be played in LA? Being in LA, they will probably not accept NT...

Re: URGENT: Hash mismatch

That probably means the verification and ext2/3 reading is native Linux. Hmm, weird. I could only think of a disc related issue, maybe some issue with a USB/SATA bridge as well. We can not even be sure wether the DCP there is in fact corrupt at all - maybe it is 'just' a read error during the verifi...

Re: Audio delay out on video

You may have fiddled with the frame rate settings in order to sync the subs. Usually, DCP-o-matic reads 23,98fps video and audio from bluray RIPs, and converts/references both to 24fps perfectly. Carl should be able to find out from your metadata file. You could try to create a DCP from the Bluray R...

No, the log is pointing at a hash mismatch with the video file. Re: URGENT: Hash mismatch

As Carl pointed out - it is usually best to verify the DCP during/after it has been copied to an external/transport drive. Typical errors that a verification looks for are data corruption/copy errors (which can have various technical reasons), and that is what the hash check is able to detect. Unfor...
