What is the source resolution of the footage you are experiencing this with?

There once was an option for a high quality/low speed vs. lower quality/high speed scaling, but I guess there was rarely a need to make that decision.

How was this MXF file created in the first place, since it's not SMPTE DCP compliant as Carl says?

Trust me, Carl is monitoring various GPU aided approaches, but so far, none have proven to comply with his and/or DOMs needs. For the time being, get as many cores/hardwarethreads as possible to speed-up encoding. Various older dual-cpu workstations can be bought for very little money now on ebay. -...

That's right. For now, I would assume the DCP is okay, but the operator is doing something wrong.

What framerate, and what datarate did you chose for this DCP, and do you know what type of server they use?
