Re: slow performance and only 3 sound channels
Strange about the audio. Well first, audio channel mapping can be very different for Home Video, cinema environments, etc. To play e.g. a 7.1. DCP from DCP-o-matic through HDMI 8ch, I need to remap rear surround channels 11/12 to 7 and 8 in DCP-o-matic (which normally carry HI/VI-N). But that is exp...

Re: slow performance and only 3 sound channels
DCP-o-matic never had issues packing all channels into the DCP/MXF - If you can see them in the audio graph (preferably under the DCP tab), they will be there. The simple playback downmix function was never meant to be used for QC, it was to help in assembly of projects so you know where you are, he...

Re: slow performance and only 3 sound channels
As far as I know, multichannel audio interfaces can be setup as multiple separate stereo interfaces, or as a single 6 or 8 channel device. Depending on this occurrence, DCP-o-matic may only see two channels and downmix.

Re: slow performance and only 3 sound channels
The player may still have a 'bug' or incomplete mixdown scheme. I think there was some mentioning about including all channels in downmix, but I don't know wether that has been implemented already. I have played discrete 7.1 through HDMI audio on my Mac and a Windows machine, but that was a few vers...

Re: Creating 3D Left/Right using TGA files
One possible other way is to load just the video mxf from that problematic DCP into a new DCP-o-matic project, then just trim it down to 1s around an interesting part, then create a new 3D DCP. This will only have one second length, but will contain the original frames from the DCP, if you keep othe...

Re: Creating 3D Left/Right using TGA files
Hmm, at first sight, the metadata looks correct to me. I would probably need to see one (short) mxf file that has been generated in order to look at the 3D layout of the DCP that has been created. That projection setup should be able to play back 25/50 fps 3D. You could could still try 24fps, but......

Re: Creating 3D Left/Right using TGA files
Then maybe the frame rate is too high, which can happen easily in 3D.

Re: Creating 3D Left/Right using TGA files
Can you upload the metadata.xml of this project to this thread? This could be due to either DCP-o-matic inproperly recognizing the image file (wich version of DCP-o-matic are you using, as there has been a recent major change to image file handling), or, a DCP/mxf file that is breaking the playback ...

Re: VF - to delete scene in the middle of the film
I haven't thought about this much before but: It's easy to cut away frames from the beginning or ends of features and/or reels, as the internal structure of the CPL knows entry and exit points. So, either in DCP-o-matic, or by manually editing the CPL (and recomputing hash afterwards), changes are p...

Re: Multi Subtitles on DCP
While this error should be handled by DCP-o-matic more gracefully, you are on the wrong track. After creating a new project, you need to 'Add DCP', then choose 'Use this DCPs video as OV and create VF' and 'Use this DCPs audio as OV and create VF' - then add the subtitles. The RightClick 'add OV' op...
