Re: YUV to RGB matrix option has no effect

One should see changes in the conversion parameters being reflected in the video waveform monitor. If it doesn't change, there must be something wrong (or no changes). I also assume - if your source is already RGB, no YUV->RGB matrix is applied, so changes to the matrix parameters will have no effec...

I'll give it a try myself, but, it may be that your only chance is to filter the image, e.g. with gaussian blur at 1-2 pixel prior to export.

Re: Fuzzy images on pointcloud film

We can't see your images, and once we can, we need to know how you created these stills.

Pointclouds can be very difficult for J2K.

Re: Encoding server basic questions

I have done very many benchmark runs with older Macs, you did not write exactly what type of CPU you have (check 'About this Mac' in the apple menu), but from what you write you should get something at least in the 10-15fps range. You should look up the benchmark page to check your results, and also...

Re: Encoding server basic questions

You should see something when you click on the encoding server icon 'Status' top right. This window will also show you if the encoding server is actually doing something during an encode. In my case, the server is idle. If you don't see numbers appearing there during an encode running on your main m...

Re: Encoding server basic questions

You should see a larger increase in encoding speed. You may need to adjust DOMs thread setting to match the total number of cores (double for HT cores) running the encoding server on your network. Normally, DCP-o-matic autodetects the number of cores available on your master machine. But if you add ...

Re: Upgrading from 2.11.34 to 2.16.30

This will usually not create issues, as it only deals with the signing, not encryption. As you have backed up your settings, you should go ahead and recreate the signing chain. Going from 2.11.x to 2.16.x is a huge step, admittedly.

Re: Interop DCP issues with lights off on cinemas and Question about SMPTE markers

You only need to take care for the minimum requirements - that is FFOC and LFOC (and DCP-o-matic already complains if they are missing for features). Most projectionists find it useful to have FFMC as an aid to bring up house lights half way. But there is no forced internal logic between them, such ...

Re: Interop DCP issues with lights off on cinemas and Question about SMPTE markers

To my knowledge, only very few cinemas actually use markers to control auditorium lights in an automated fashion.

You need to talk to the operators to find out what happened.
