Re: VF to add Subtitles - Query
How is OV made? Is it in reels or in a single reel. Single reel means there are one file for video and one file for audio inside the DCP. If there are more than one file for each then you can safely assume the DCP is made in reels. If that is the case, then choosing split by video contents should re...

Re: VF to add Subtitles - Query
There’s a button [import dcp]. You should use that.
Also the tabs are underneath the assets. Low left part of the screen.
Have you enabled full interface in preferences?

Re: VF to add Subtitles - Query
Open a new project in DOM. Import existing DCP for which you wish to create a VF file. Click on video tab and select [Use DCP video as OV and make VF] Click on Audio tab and select [Use DCP audio as OV and make VF] If the tabs grayed out click on a DCP tab and check if either a single reel or a spli...

Re: SRT subtitles display in Preview
It happens in SMPTE and INTEROP projects, Flat, Scope, mono sound, 5.1 sound or any combination thereof.
It might have something to do with source movie. It usually happens with M2TS files.
Haven't noticed this behaviour (not that it may not happen there) with other source files.

Re: SRT subtitles display in Preview
When I Import the srt file into an empty DOM project it displays all subtitles from the beginning. If I add to dat a movie, then the first subtitles are not displayed in preview, but all are present in the finished DCP. The number of subtitles not displayed in Preview are random: sometimes 4, someti...

Re: Batch converter and encoding server om the same machine
Actually I wasn't trying to achieve anything. It was a new installation on the MacPro, andas you know the first run of anything on the Mac can be very annoying. Apple checks if the developer is registered and if not, it checks for the malicious code, so it could take a long time. In any case encodin...

Re: SRT subtitles display in Preview
I probably should add that this happens in DOM continuously running preview, but if preview is stopped and I nudge a couple of frames forward, the missing subtitle appears in preview.
