Re: Inserting accessibility content to a DCP
Hi Lucas, Actually it might work with later ffmpeg versions (just tried with 4.3.6). The only dependency I had to install (on Raspberry Pi OS) was the Perl "Slurp" module (type cpan then install File::Slurp ). And make the script executable typing chmod +x /path/to/encode-vp9-wav . It's wo...

Re: Inserting accessibility content to a DCP
Hi CheLucon,
Have you tried that Perl script : https://github.com/ISDCF/Sign-Language-Video-Encoding ?
Ffmpeg 3.2.4 (and not another version) must be in Path.
Best,
Dan

Re: DCI XML subtiltles - custom positioning for each line?
Hi Marek, That's funny, I had forgotten I had posted here my antique subtitle workflow... Hopefully there's now an actual (free) solution. - In SubtitleEdit set your project to Advanced Sub Station Alpha (.ass) format. - Create ASS Styles (in File>ASS Styles..) corresponding to the different positio...

Re: DCP Conversion of UHD Blu-Ray files resulting in Colour being off
This was actually very helpful. The default settings for the CST in Resolve with Adaptation set to 9.0 as default actually worked pretty perfectly (at least in the case of this film - I may have to mess with some settings for other files) Oh, nice. It would be interesting to check if the result is ...

Re: DCP Conversion of UHD Blu-Ray files resulting in Colour being off
Hi, As I understand, the main problem here is that DCP-o-matic is using Rec. 2020 primaries with a 2.4 input gamma whereas it should apply a PQ (ST 2084) transfer function instead. If Carl adds it to the transfer functions list, I guess it would help a lot? Then there is still the tone mapping quest...

Re: Subtitle positioning: help required!
Hi, It seems there is another little rendering shift when a line with a high letter (like "f") is under a line with a low letter (like "j") - in this case the line spacing is greater than expected. domsub.JPG The shift is visible on the preview and on the burnt-in subtitles. I us...

Re: Subtitle positioning: help required!
Hi, I don't know if it was supposed to be fixed in 2.16.46 but the slight shift in DOM preview/burning-in is still here in 2.16.47. I didn't notice any other problem using SMPTE or IOP .xml files as input. Horizontal alignment in SDH (subtitles for the deaf or hard-of-hearing) seems accurate too. I ...

Re: Warning from EasyDCP: "MCASubDescriptors"
How about a drop-down list in the settings where one could choose the SMPTE "flavor"? The "A" flavor could be the default and the user could switch to Bv2.1.

Re: 25 fps interlaced to 50p
Hello
I think you would have to make a 50p file with another tool first, like QTGMC (best quality) or ffmpeg with yadif=1.
Keep in mind that on non-HFR projectors, only one out of two frames will be showed.
Best,
Dan
