What operating system are you using? Have you allowed the 2.12.2 version to go through any firewall that is in place?

Is it feasible to get hold of the mp4 somehow? Or a clip of it (starting from the beginning)?

There's some caching that goes on, so I think once it has worked once on a machine in may be more relaxed. Who knows. Anyway I think it's as good as we can get it for now. Thanks everybody for the testing!

I don't think there's much we can do about that. The App Store looks like a whole other world of pain that I'm not ready for yet!

Despite my possibly misplaced confidence there is potential for problems with this new mac version. Any testing would be welcome!

This one works! You must wait for 3minutes but it lets you bypass the ctrl-click trick forcing the first opening.

So it does the "verifying" thing for ages but then opens without further intervention?

It's possible that bugs will be introduced, but quite unlikely I hope. I think I'm willing to risk it rather than have this subscription sit around until the next stable version! Also it seems like a matter of time until Apple make it really awkward to run unsigned stuff.

It's alright, I've got 30 or so machines I can test with. They have some remote management software installed though which I think may be turning off / relaxing gatekeeper in some odd circumstances.

Hi Carsten, I could do, and I will if I run out of ideas, but I think the devil is in the detail of the large program... another try is coming up. The odd thing is that the last version worked for me when remoting into a Sierra machine... it's a bit of a mystery.
