Re: DCP Player - Hardware Specification
I guess currently the only way to improve this is by adding more/faster local cores to your CPU setup. Like a Dual HT server CPU. We have some threadripper benchmarks for encoding. Would be interesting to learn how a threadripper performs during playback. Optimizing J2K or adding GPU acceleration is...

I believe you should trust the processing indicators given below Content->Video.
If there is no scaling, cropping, padding, etc. indicated there, it won't be applied.

Re: DCP shifted colours
DCPs use XYZ colorspace - unless you are viewing them on a DCI projection system or with a player that retransforms XYZ to RGB, that greenish tint is normal. Can you explain in more detail how you created your DCP, and where you experience that greenish look? Which player do you use to check the DCP...

Re: Encrypted Version File doesn't play
It is true that currently, encrypted SMPTE DCPs do not work on Sony systems. Carl is working on it, but it is tricky...
Basically, it should work with Interop just as well. Usually, the Doremi is quite forgiving at playback. Really wondering what could be the issue here...

Re: Encrypted Version File doesn't play
That's strange... Right now, I can only suggest to try it again, just create the VF. If there would be issues with the KDM, the feature play shouldn't start at all. Although it might be possible that the Doremi is somewhat shaky about different keys for OV and VF. As a matter of fact, Interop subtit...

Re: Encrypted Version File doesn't play
Do any of the subtitles turn up with the encrypted version?
Is this an Interop or SMPTE DCP?
What server and projector are you playing this on?

Re: DOM Crashed down by packaging DCP with srt file
Maybe some strange file format with invisible control chars, headers, etc.
I'd load it into a simple text editor and make sure it is saved from there as a bare text file.

Re: Automatic shutdown after error
Mario - I don't have that in any of my recent DCP-o-matic versions. Now, please get this straight - normally, when you load a pre-existing project, DCP-o-matic expects the content/DCP to be at exactly the same position/path where it was when you saved the project. If you moved it, renamed the folder...

Re: DCP Content Kind Modification
Just to make sure nobody get's this wrong - the application creating the DCP (e.g. wraptor or DCP-o-matic ) can name these MXF files in any way. Don't mess with these file names yourself - they need to comply with other files in the DCP once it has been created.
