How/where did you check these DCPs for sharpness after conversion?

Re: Could not load KDM (document not well formed)
Yeah, I remember that thread. It looks as if some KDM services rename ZIP files to ZZZ files automatically if the receiver is a GMAIL address. Looks as if GMAIL won't let ZIP through. If that's true, only some recipients booked at certain renown mail providers would receive ZZZ files, while others w...

Re: DCP from H264 bad image sharpness
Hmm, strange. h.264 is a very complex codec, and, technically, it may be that FFMPEG in DOM uses non-optimal decoding. I will try to replicate your findings. I have never experienced that behaviour before. Maybe it only occurs with certain h.264 files.

That is rather strange, for what reason would they send ZIP files to some locations, but zzz files to others? What country are you experiencing this in?

Re: Outputting DCP at 4096 x 3072
Hmm. There has always been obscure information about IMAX projection systems. It started with their 2*2k systems using a 'black box' to overlay two 2k images. I heard similar things about the laser systems overlaying a sharp and a blurred image or something. I would go on and create a 'standard' 399...

Re: Format problem, picture too narrow
Could you send screenshots to them, could they send a picture of the screen back?
Please ask them for the precise Christie model number, and server type.

Re: +antialias +dither
I don't see a problem for DOM. Scaling always and fundamentally goes with some implications: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_scaling A while ago I was evaluating various servers/media block's capabilities to play 'real' 4k content. Therefore, I created a series of test images, among them, a 4k c...

Re: Could not load KDM (document not well formed)
We receive hundreds of KDMs per year, from german as well as international 'labs' (like Motion Picture Solutions, Technicolor, Deluxe, ARRI, YMAGIS, etc.). I have never seen a zzz file, they are all ZIP. A spam filter lies in the recipients responsibility. If the account he chooses to receive KDMs d...

Re: Outputting DCP at 4096 x 3072
That doesn't look right. Your screen shot puts channel 1 (probably L) of TROLLEYS-DCP .mov equally on all output channels. I would guess that you want to map none of the .mov, but map TROLLEYS_51_PM.L.wav to L only, TROLLES_51_PM.R.wav to R only, and so on. He has 6 audio channels in the project, b...
