Re: Batch converter and encoding server om the same machine
There was a time when running a local encode server was the only way to really saturate CPUs with many cores/threads. However, since many versions now, that should no longer be necessary. You may get a small benefit by doing that, but in general, you can achieve the same if you set the number of enc...

Re: Batch converter and encoding server om the same machine
Yes, no problem with that. You may want to balance the number of encoding threads between batch converter and local encode server in prefs.
What are you trying to accomplish by running both batch converter and encode server on the same machine?

Re: export to prores
Alright, it happens here with 2.13.146 on my Mac, too. Both when exporting a 24fps MP4 source file and when exporting a 24 fps DCP. I don't know in how far that is a problem when using the resulting export, as the variation in frame rate is very small (min 23.994 max 24.006). I guess it is only a fo...

Re: export to prores
How do you create a 1920/1080 export? That frame rate display may be a misindication, as often, some tools do not read such things from file headers, but compute them from certain aspects of the file. So, this could be misleading especially for short files. I will do my tests again, though, with the...

Re: export to prores
Strange. I converted a test movie just recently into both mp4 and prores/mov, and neither shows that issue. In QT Player and media info, they are both shown as straight 24 fps. Which version of DCP-o-matic are you using?

Re: DCP too big for cinema screen
We had similar issues before, and very often, they turned out as bad projector presets. The way to fix this is to play an 'official' setup DCP that is able to convince the operator/cinema owner to have their presets checked. If you play back your DCP with DCP-o-matic player, and there is no cutoff, ...

Re: KDM Error on DCP2000
To complement this - Dolby servers using a CAT745 media block without NTP sync (many small cinemas without TMS) typically suffer from huge clock drifts. Easily in the range of multiple days if not continuously corrected. So, it's pretty easy to 'drop back' or forth one day.

Re: KDM Error on DCP2000
These certs are valid from April 10th, and your KDMs validity window starts at April 10th as well. I remember we had a similar issue a while ago with some KDMs for Dolby servers. I guess the trouble is if you have created the certs/installed DCP-o-matic on the same day as you create your first KDM, ...

Re: KDM Error on DCP2000
I think your KDMs are all okay technically, but the signing cert fails to comply with the KDM validity period. I have no idea currently how this can happen. Could you go to Preferences - Keys - Signing DCPs and KDMs/Advanced, then export Root/Intermediate/Leaf certs and upload them here? They are on...
