Re: "kdm was made for dcp-o-matic but "not for its leaf certificate"
Yes, I have seen this advice on the forum after searching it fairly frequently. Unfortunately, I only did that search now, before I read only one thread where they specifically asked for the whole thing. Well, at least now I know something about certificates:-).

Re: "kdm was made for dcp-o-matic but "not for its leaf certificate"
Indeed. But tracing the leaf certificate to a authorization entity only traces it to a self-signed certificate that is unique to my install (I can see why that is due to DOM being open source). Anyway, they issued the DKDM against my root certificate. Inside the DKMD, there was a line identifying it...

Re: "kdm was made for dcp-o-matic but "not for its leaf certificate"
Well, indeed, I sent them both my leaf certificate and the certificate chain (I saw it recomended here to send the whole chain, but apparently, it has its own pitfalls). Out of curiosity, how can I check which certificate it was issued against? And also, what is the use of intermediate and root cert...

"kdm was made for dcp-o-matic but "not for its leaf certificate"
I am trying to open an uncrypted DCP with a KDM I was issued. I get the error "kdm was made for dcp-o-matic but not for its leaf certificate".
What does it mean? do I need to ask the issuer of the DKMD for a new DKDM (and what did they do wrong?) or can I subvert this somehow?

Re: "Use this DCP's video" greyed out with "its video frame size differs from the film's"
Are you sure the original video is 1920/1080 pixel containersize, not 1920/1080 padded to 1998/1080? How would I check? ffmpeg -i tihnks so: Stream #0:0: Video: jpeg2000 (JPEG 2000 digital cinema 2K), xyz12le(progressive), 1920x1080, SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9, 24 tbr, 24 tbn, 24 tbc In the xml inside of the...

Re: "Use this DCP's video" greyed out with "its video frame size differs from the film's"
That was mistake on my part. Now I realize I only need to add the OV from the DCP I got and add the subtitles that I have, like this: https://i.imgur.com/kfLSMFE.png https://i.imgur.com/MrJ3czG.png That is the recomended way according to the manual sections 16.1.1 and 5.3.2 However, it does not let ...

Re: "Use this DCP's video" greyed out with "its video frame size differs from the film's"
I think I am already setting the new DCP to flat already: https://i.imgur.com/hqiHZWO.png Here is the film settings: https://i.imgur.com/O6aDjr6.png Or am I missing something basic? Actually, I would like to keep existing subtitles at the DCP, I just need to add one track, so I would like to avoid d...

"Use this DCP's video" greyed out with "its video frame size differs from the film's"
I am using version 2.13.57 of DCM. I just imported a DCP and I would like to add subtitles to it without reencoding. I am getting a "Cannot reference this DCP: its video frame size differs from the film's". The original DCP has container set to "Flat" (1998 × 1080), however, the ...

Re: Outline size on subtitle
Yes, I meant SRT subtitles. I noticed that when I check "Burn subtitles into image", the outline option in "Appearance..." gets ungreyed.
