Re: Subtitle positioning: help required!
Hi, I made a quick test following Carsten and Harold suggestions (didn't find the SMPTE test though) : I created a standard SMPTE xml subtitle (attached) with Arial, black border, 42pt, 7% height from bottom. I burned that file into a 2K Flat grid (attached) using easyDCP. That gives me a DCP with t...

Re: Time Zone in "IssueDate" - SMPTE ?
Hi Carl, thanks for your reply and the "fix"!
I checked some recent DCPs we received from big facilities and all have that time zone suffix... I wonder why Deluxe demands this.

Time Zone in "IssueDate" - SMPTE ?
Hi, We got a refusal from Deluxe because the subtitle XML contained a time zone in the "IssueDate" tag ("-00:00" after the time). Indeed their guidelines do mention that the format should be like yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss (p.13) : https://hpaonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Deluxe...

Re: EasyDCP verification again
Hi Carl,
I only have easyDCP+ versions up to 4.0 (no RDD-52/429-2 validation) if ever it's useful.
Best,
Dan

Re: Writer not creating ntfs
Hi, On Windows you can also try the free driver Ext2Fsd : https://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd/files/Ext2fsd/0.68/Ext2Fsd-0.68.exe/download I used it frequently some years ago. I don't know if it's still working well on recent W10/W11 versions. (I linked to version 0.68 because 0.69 has some iss...

Re: VF Compatibility question
Hi, That won't be a problem because the VF DCP will have the same audio layout (6 channels, the last 4 filled with silence) as the OV. Anyway, DCP-o-matic should not let you select something else than "5.1 / 6 channels" when you make the VF. In the Player, once you have opened the VF, clic...

Re: The file arial.ttf cannot be found
Hi, If you create a subfolder named 9338a5d5-9cc0-42b5-89a9-e944486df030 then move both arial.ttf and 9338a5d5-9cc0-42b5-89a9-e944486df030_sub.xml inside, it should work. That's where the subtitle file and the font are expected to be according to the ASSETMAP, and like in most Interop DCPs. ;) Best,...

Re: Is certificate expiration a problem ?
Hi, Yes, re-signing is easy with easyDCP but it cannot be done with their CLI so batch processing is not possible. It would be possible to use openssl to at least detect the expired certs in a batch of DCPs - I have to check. Do you have a link to the DKDM>Digest ruby script you're talking about, ig...

Re: Is certificate expiration a problem ?
Another theater just told me they could not ingest a DCP - we've been distributing it since 2012 without any problem, but its certificates expired last December. It was created with OpenDCP. For the record that theater has a Sony SRX-R320P. The DCP ingests and runs smoothly on our NEC NC900C with Do...
