Re: OV + VF Interop to SMPTE
OK, that case is a little trickier in DOM. I can think of 2 ways to do it : 1. You can use the "Move to start of reel" in the "Timing" tab for ordering the audio files in a more reliable way than in the Timeline. 2. You can create a new OV 7.1 DCP (without re-encoding) with one r...

Re: OV + VF Interop to SMPTE
Hi,
You should first import the new SMPTE OV, check the VF option under the "video" tab then import the audio mxf from the old 7.1 VF. And don't forget to disable the audio of the SMPTE OV and select 7.1 in "DCP" tab.

Re: Is certificate expiration a problem ?
Hi Carsten, The earliest DCPs are from 2012, created by various software: easyDCP, Wailua, Clipster, OpenCube, Doremi... but none with DOM. Most of their expiration dates seem to be at the end of 2021. I'll send one of them to Carl, yes. Can the ASDCP tools alone re-sign an encrypted DCP and issue a...

Re: GPU based DCP encoding
None, I'm afraid. It's interesting to note, however, that nvidia have made some libraries for J2K decoding which we may be able to use (while hoping that nvidia are also working on some encoding libraries!) The nvJPEG2000 Documentation does talk about encoding too! https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/nvjp...

Re: Is certificate expiration a problem ?
It should be possible to make a fairly automated way to re-wrap DCPs using some combination of DCP-o-matic's command-line tools, if that's the part you are worried about. Hi Carl, yes I would be interested in such a (semi-)automated way. Can the tools guess the container ratio or does it have to be...

Re: Is certificate expiration a problem ?
Thanks Carsten. Yes I'm able to create new versions, and I will if expired certs turn out to be a serious problem, but it promises to be a big amount of work as I have 3 000 encrypted DCPs (both Interop and SMPTE) and I have to figure out how much are affected or will be in a near future. That's why...

Is certificate expiration a problem ?
Hello, I have some old DCPs whose certificates have now reached their end of validity. These are encrypted DCPs still in circulation in theaters so I am wondering whether it could cause validation issues or prevent completely the playback on some servers. The KDM service I use doesn't care about it ...

Apply video filter on J2K
Hello,
In recent versions, it's not possible to apply any video filters to existing DCP or to individual JPEG 2000 MXFs (the "Edit" button is greyed out). I remember it was possible before. Is it an intended change?
Thanks in advance!
Dan

Re: KDMs not recognized on some DCP2000 ?
"Astrée" and "Chambéry" are the name and city of the theatre, I entered them in DCP-o-matic KDM Creator when creating an entry for the cinema ( "Astrée - Chambéry" ). I just let DOM's default KDM naming. Maybe DOM should replace these special characters when generating ...

Re: KDMs not recognized on some DCP2000 ?
Hello everyone, I just ran into the same issue with another theatre. This time, the Doremi DCP2000 did detect the stick and showed the other KDMs that were on it, but DOM's KDMs did not appear. You will find attached the two packs of KDMs. There is one similarity between the two cases that I forgot ...
