Re: Subtitles too small in cinema
Of course, but as I said, timed-text subtitles are rendered by the cinema equipment, not DCP-o-matic. So, first we need to find out why this happens. And of course, for now, you may simply set the fonts larger. It may be that DCP-o-matic preview and player render font sizes not according to the subt...

Re: JPEG encoding result differs between buiding version and deb version (Dcpomatic 2.12.4)
Usually, you wouldn't find metadata or headers in J2K, it is a stream only. However - in this specific case, the problematic data structure is a marker by itself. The problem is, there is no simple tool available to identify these files just by pointing or dropping a file onto it. You need to unwrap...

Re: Subtitles too small in cinema
No, it's not a bug, it is simply not intended to switch off subtitles for a presentation in cinema. It's not a feature of the DCP, but of the cinema servers/projectors. They don't support disabling subtitles. It doesn't work as on DVD/Bluray Players or Netflix where you can switch languages and titl...

Re: Dolby DSS200 and test version
Hmm. Are you sure that of these 54 cinemas, only those two are using Dolby DSS220? Or are there other sites using DSS220 without playback issues? Note that the relevant part in this case is the CAT745, the media block. All DSS220 systems use the CAT745 media block, while there are DSS200 systems tha...

Re: Subtitles too small in cinema
I'm wondering if all servers/projectors display subs in the same relative size? The Doremis have an option to switch from projector-rendered to server-rendered subs. The Doremi server subtitle engine has options to shift and resize subs. Projectors do not.

Re: Enhancement suggestion
Yes, I would also love to have a beep or something upon completion. Best would be a checkbox that come up with 'MakeDCP', so you can easily decide for each time wether you want confirmation or not. Could also be implemented for the batch converter and signal once the whole batch is finished. I'll pu...

Re: Subtitles too small in cinema
Disabling subtitles is not a feature of DCI cinema. The usual way to do this is to supply a normal, and a subtitled version, and the projectionist/operator decides which one to play. There is no checkbox or button on a DCI server to disable subtitles during a playout operation. Some servers have con...

Re: Malfunctions on DOM 2.12.4
No, avoid J2K exports for reuse in DCP-o-matic - DCP-o-matic will not process these images and pass them through - but they are not compliant with DCI servers. Try DPX or TIFF.

Re: Malfunctions on DOM 2.12.4
The trouble is, DCP-o-matic needs FFMPEG framework for these codecs. Similar to ProRes in WIndows, FFMPEG codecs are not 'official' manufacturer/licensed codecs, but 're-engeineered'. And some of the more recent/exotic varieties may not have been fully developed or debugged. Carl is updating FFMPEG ...

Re: Malfunctions on DOM 2.12.4
Can you remember the last version that did it right for you? I see you are on a Mac - it is easy to have different versions installed, you may give one of the recent 2.11 or 2.10.5 a try. Are you sure it doesn't only happen for specific DNxHR files? Can you test with an 'older' file that you know us...
