Re: Adding a card to an existing DCP

There are different ways to do this. In general, every cinema is able to assemble show playlists - a sequence of separate DCPs and control cues (Light, Screen, Sound, etc.). The easiest way to add your card is to create a separate short still DCP with that card only, and tell the cinema to add that ...

Re: uuid mismath

Can you tell us more about this DCP? Interop/SMPTE, subtitles yes/no? Version of DCP-o-matic used?

Re: How To Create MPEG2 DCP

I guess, for a limited application, it is unreasonable to expect such a major feature to be implemented to support a fundamentally outdated format. I guess it makes more sense to ask Terrence wether he can supply a version of OpenDCP that still supports MPEG2 wrapping. The industry is currently movi...

Re: DCP audio problems

Okay, DCP-o-matic 2.12.4 in Sierra. I added a stereo file with near full scale peak levels (music/singing) and created three DCPs, one with M/S, one with UpmixerA, one with UpmixerB. Both M/S and UpmixerA create normal no clipping levels for me. Upmixer B creates SOME clipping, but not much (spuriou...

Re: DCP audio problems

Hi Aaron - I'm trying to replicate this. If possible, install audacity with the ffmpeg plugin on your Mac. https://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/ https://lame.buanzo.org/#lameosxdl With the ffmpeg pugin, audacity will allow to load the audio mxf file from the DCP that you generated as a multitra...

Re: DCP audio problems

Which DCP-o-matic version do you use?

Can you reload your project and show us the audio graph?

Re: Cloning existing DCP to a USB stick on a Mac

Yes, provided that you have an ext3 driver with write support, a simple finder copy should work. If your target drive has at least the same capacity as your source drive, you could also try to image the ext3 drive to the new drive. I never did that, though, with an ext3 drive so far.

Re: Cloning existing DCP to a USB stick on a Mac

Click and drag it in the finder, just like an ordinary copy? Depending on the size of your DCP, or better, reels (MXF files), you may need to use an NTFS (or ext2/3) formatted USB Stick. Most USB sticks come preformatted in FAT32. These only work if your largest MXF file of that DCP is smaller than ...

Re: Curious transformation issue from TIFF & DPX rendered by Davinci Resolve

I think the only way to get this straight is to test this for various output formats and give specific recommendations towards the usage of Resolve/Premiere, etc. export formats. One issue is that some parameters may simply not be flaggable, or, FFMPEG will not read these flags correctly. As we know...

Re: DoM 2.12.4 - Not responding when opening DCP without original source files

I see that with 2.12.4 in OS X as well - rename a source file, DCP-o-matic will not open the project with source files in red indicated 'missing'. However, that 'feature' or behaviour is back in 2.13.20 test version (missing source files indicated in red), maybe Carl can backport it to 2.12.x stable...
