Re: Best way to crop 3512 x 2538 to 2K for DCP
Use No Scale or No Stretch, and use a Flat Container as Carl suggests, creating a pillarboxed version in a flat container. In the DCNC/ISDCF name it should say F-137. You could as well go 4k. All real cinema servers can play 4k, no matter if they have an actual 4k Projector or not. Some festivals wi...

Re: DCP on QUBE server - Help
I'm pretty sure this is a 30fps issue. This server seems not to be able to play 30fps properly. The DCP-o-matic compatibility matrix only states basic compatibility. It doesn't guarantee that the server or projector is able to play every format that DCP-o-matic is able to generate. Try to create a s...

What servers are these? Doremis have configurable options what to do after playing a show, e.g. loop, eject, , etc.

Re: 4DX
dbox and 4DX use audio tracks with specially encoded control data. You would need to get access to proprietary tools from dbox or 4DX to create these. I don't think these companies will make their proprietary control protocol available. Once you have created them, DOM can embed them into a DCP just ...

Re: subs position
There is no real practical limit per specs. As it always depends on the actual projector used (and Cinecanvas has proven to be a shaky implementation), you probably shouldn't stretch it too far, that is, around the edges. Also, keep in mind that some installations may use an excessive amount of crop...

Re: Hi res flac and jegs
Must be something special about these FLAC files. I can use 'standard' (24Bit/48KHz) FLAC files without issues. 192KHz/6ch/24Bit files work as well. Wondering what type of files you use that make DCP-o-matic choke? Is it possible you embedded the JPGs you speak of into these FLAC files? If you can't...

Re: black frames
So, would there be no black frames/non-integer frame numbers, if the trim positions would be entered by numbers and SET, instead of by using the trim-up-to/trim-after current buttons? That would be a quick fix, although it may need a bit of trial and error, but should give proper feedback in the pre...

What does that passage in the metadata file look like?
Wondering wether it could have something to do with the source MXF files? That's 25fps? Has it been created with DCP-o-matic, or with another application?

Re: black frames
I'll try to replicate that on my Sierra notebook. When the trimming is applied, can you open timeline view and check the 'Keep video and subtitles in sequence' option?
