I have a feeling that this has something to do with what happens between you generate the DCP and you ingest it to the server.
How are you transferring the DCP to the server?

Re: Back Surround Left and Right sound don't work with DCP created with DCP o Matic
From what server are you playing the DCP? Are you trying to get the 7.1 sound via the Non-Sync input? I am wondering if you are using dci compliant cinema equipment or not. Properly configured dci compliant system should not have any problem with this. And remember, when you are playing 7.1 content ...

Re: Cannot inject my DCP into the cinema server
How did you transfer the DCP to the cinema? Via ftp?
DCP can easily gets corrupted during transfer and if the default to transfer type is not set to binary in the ftp client.
This name of the DCP is missing a lot of info but that is still not the reason for this.

Re: KDM Validity VS Signing Cert Validity error
We recently came across an issue with a few servers that did not like long signing cert validity. This is actually something that can be avoided during the KDM creation itself. I own both Dolby CineAsset Pro and EasyDCP and if the server certificate of the cinema server that KDM is being created fo...

Re: DCP with Atmos for Cinema Release
My understanding is that the Dolby unit that they lease only to certified mix rooms is the only thing that can product ATMOS compliant MXF files for DCP usage. Unless someone managed to reverse engineer it. Correct, if you are going to make Atmos for theatrical release you have to make the Atmos tr...

Re: Markers FFOC and LFOC
Those markers are a SMPTE thing and not supported with Interop DCPs. Are you sure? When I think about it then I am actually not that sure. But I never heard anything about those markers regarding interop. When those markers became a thing then everybody talked about "SMPTE markers" But if...

Re: Markers FFOC and LFOC
Is some server failing because of the SMPTE markers? What type of server?
I doubt that the markers are the reason for a failing server.

Re: REEL Text Annotation - best practices?
I did a quick test with EasyDCP (not DOM) and sure thing, there is annotation for reels. My annotation was Blah_IOP_REEL_1. It did not affect the mxf filename. Scratching my head a bit about this, as reel annotation is not something I have read much about. Maybe it is only seen in XML for facility ...

Re: DCP for Cannes Film Festival
I am one of them that have being on the both side. I did work full time as projectionist for 14 years before I left that job and now I run digital cinema and subtitling lab. I own both Dolby CineAsset, EasyDCP and I have also being DCP-o-Matic user for long time. It was even named DVD-o-Matic when I...
