Re: For KDM in ubuntu using CLI

If you just want to specify the details on the command line (without storing a screen in the database) you can do

Code: Select all

dcpomatic2_cli -c "my great cinema" -S "screen 1" -C cert.pem ...

Re: range option

I wish Carl had put this into the color conversion dialog so it's not immediately visible
I see what you mean. The question is, where does it go? If we put it in the colour conversion dialog don't we end up with menu options like
  • sRGB full range
  • sRGB video range
  • ...

Re: For KDM in ubuntu using CLI

Try giving the CPL id rather than the filename i.e. a20830df-29c5-4e08-af39-4063dda2d981

The option to make a screen in the CLI isn't there yet... I'll see if I can add it.

Re: Player tool good but needs more work.

Hey James, Thanks for your message. I'm sorry to hear about dcpPlayer. The DCP-o-matic player was rather unplanned; it really just grew from a quick hack when I realised that some CPUs were now capable of the J2K decoding in real-time. It would be great to spend some more time on it, although time i...

Re: Old macOS versions

I haven't really thought about 2.16. We need to consider what should go into it. I feel like a functioning GL backend and direct disk writing might be nice to shoot for...

Re: 'Checking existing image data'

I think it's because it never checks to see if the video could be re-used as-is. It finds the last existing frame in any video asset that already exists (which might be incomplete). But AFAICS it should just re-use the video asset if it finds it complete...

Re: 'Checking existing image data'

I think the scenario is: You make a project and create a DCP. This DCP's video MXF is a hard-link to a file in the video/ folder. You modify the sound in your project and make a new DCP. This re-writes some IDs in the MXF within video/ which in turn corrupts the original DCP you made. To "fix&q...

If you send your DKDM over to carl@dcpomatic.com I may be able to give some ideas.

Re: 720x576 to Fit Screen

The stuff inside the red box is in your content, so you have some black pixels in your original images. Adjust the crop settings so that the red rectangle surrounds the actual image area. Then you should be all sorted. It looks like it might not be quite 4:3 though. Maybe it's 1.66:1 within 4:3, or ...

I think you can drag and drop into your message, or use the "attachments" tab underneath the message editor.
