ICMP-X module dead
So, yesterday, we had a tech over for our Barco SP4K 12C maintenance. Weeks prior, we had some issues with HD no 2, with some errors reported, but no HD failure per se. Result of the maintenance: the ICMP-X module has to ne replaced all together. The projector was installed 1.5 year ago, with real u...

Re: Aspect Ratio Confusion
Visible image ratio is 2.46:1. I would make a Scope DCP and crop top and bottom until image width is flush with the Scope container.
But, if they insist on Flat, it's the same, your crop top and bottom until image width is flush with the Flat container.
Edit: Carl answered while I was writing.

Re: Sync Issues from 23.976 FPS Pro Res
Sampling rate affects sound quality. The lower the sample rate, the The sound quality will decrease. So I increased the sound speed from other software. Yes!C. Pres Alliance wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2023 8:01 pmI'm cropping the content in the DCP stats window by 50 pixels on left and right, which effectively "zooms" the window to fit the 3996 container and eliminates the slight top and bottom padding. I presume I am doing this correctly!

Re: DCP-o-matic 2 Disk Writer
Hum... I checked and the option "Open in player" is not there, even though the server software is more recent than what is needed. Is there a setting somewhere that has to be turned on?

Re: 4096x2160 full container... why bars?
This screen is 16:9 (1.78:1). On the projector, we have three zoom presets: 1.78, 1.85, 2.39. The one we see is 1.85. When we have 1.78 (or smaller) content, the 1.78 zoom preset will fill the screen vertically: the top and bottom green lines will align with the top and bottom of the screen. So noth...
