TEST VERSION v2.17.13 released

Another test version, v2.17.13, is now available for download . This test includes everything in 2.16.78 and adds some new features and fixes. You are advised to use this version only for testing, not in production systems. There are some new things in this release that I am particularly interested ...

Re: Mid-side decoder removes stereo separation?

It's a bit of a mystery (to me, at least) why a 7.1 DCP with silence everywhere except on L/R should not play as expected on a 5.1 system.

Re: Could not decrypt KDM

Was the KDM made for your copy of DCP-o-matic? If not, it won't work.

Re: DCP-o-matic 2.16.78 released

I guess this is caused by the more detailed J2K codestream checking. There is a feature request to make these checks optional.

Re: Problem of converting 23.9760p to 24p

Hi,
It could be a problem in the source file, and perhaps DCP-o-matic did not handle it very well. You could try again with the test version to see if that works any better, as it handles some difficult files better.

Re: dcpomatic2_kdm_cli Query

Carl, the use case is the same movie but multiple versions (Subtitled and Dubbed) for which KDMs need to be generated. Or even two different movies running at the same time in the theaters for which KDMs need to be generated. So in these cases you are making 1 KDM containing the keys for multiple v...

Re: dcpomatic2_kdm_cli Query

Another desired feature is to be able to pass multiple DKDMs for KDM generation instead of just 1
Is this because more than one DKDM is needed to decrypt a particular DCP?

Re: dcpomatic2_kdm_cli Query

I think it's better to leave the time zone in the database and just offer to override it (or choose daylight saving) in the KDM creation dialog. So (playing Devil's advocate) if I choose two cinemas with different time zones, then make KDMs for both at the same time, what happens with the "ove...
