Sony servers and failed verifications

Post by mayfly »

Hi,

Doremi and other servers apparently has no problems digesting the content and unlock it. Sony is a different. Does anyone experience the same? Verify status: failed. Validate status: Not validated. Screenshot attached.

thanks,

olo

This is on an LMT200/300. Can you still play the content? On our S10, it is fairly common that even commercial content like trailers etc. do not get the 'OK' in the verification tabs. The S10 has no separate verification process, but does it during the ingest automatically. A failed verification indicator, however, does not stop the content from being played back. I think the S10 verification is already targeted at fully signed SMPTE DCPs. I haven't found any information regarding the necessary DCP formatting for a successful verification on a Sony. I may do some testing with DCP-o-matic, but then again, we can only test DCP-o-matics format options, which is not representative of the whole world of possible DCP formatting.
