DCP-o-matic

Hi,

I have 2 prores for the same film with burning subtitles, so I would like to create an OV with the french subtitled version and a VF with the same audio but with the english subtitled video. I tick use the sound of this DCP as OV and make a VF, but....
I don't succeeded, each test I've made contain the 2 videos sequences, the French version and after the engluish version ? Is it possible te create this type a DCP?

I don't think it is worth the effort to create a VF reusing the audio, and changing the video. You are right, though, that it SHOULD work. I have never tried doing that myself.

VF's are made to generate another versions of the same content and are made to save space. It makes no sense at all to bother making a version files when the video content is different. You are not saving that much of space by reusing only the audio. Then id say you should just leave it at two seperate OV's.

VF's are great for another subtitle or another audio like 7.1 version file for 5.1 OV.
But version file with diffrent picturetrack does not make much sense.
