Error with text subtitles in DCP-o-matic 2.0.22

Post by willyfan »

I tried to use dcp-o-matic for create a dcp with text subtitles.
I started from an existent DCP (generated with opendcp). Import of dcp work fine. I added a xml file with subtitles, like the follow:

Code: Select all

<DCSubtitle Version="1.1">
 <SubtitleID>f746289f-860e-4159-90dd-b52eec3874b9</SubtitleID>
 <MovieTitle>Noseda_Dindo</MovieTitle>
 <ReelNumber>1</ReelNumber>
 <Language>Spanish</Language>
 <LoadFont Id="Font1" URI="Arial MT.ttf"/>
<Font Id="Font1" Color="FFFFFFFF" Effect="border" EffectColor="FF000000" Size="30">
<Subtitle SpotNumber="1" TimeIn="00:00:25:053" TimeOut="00:00:31:073">
 <Text HAlign="center" HPosition="0,00" VAlign="bottom" VPosition="26,05">Le damos la bienvenida a esta nueva cita</Text>
 <Text HAlign="center" HPosition="0,00" VAlign="bottom" VPosition="21,80">MusicEmotion de un lugar especial, casi mágico.</Text>
 </Subtitle>
<Subtitle SpotNumber="2" TimeIn="00:00:31:094" TimeOut="00:00:40:105">
 </Subtitle>
<Subtitle SpotNumber="3" TimeIn="00:00:40:125" TimeOut="00:00:45:115">
 </Subtitle>
<Subtitle SpotNumber="4" TimeIn="00:00:45:136" TimeOut="00:00:50:146">
 </Subtitle>
.......
<Subtitle SpotNumber="186" TimeIn="02:02:51:084" TimeOut="02:02:54:157">
 </Subtitle>
 </Font>
 </DCSubtitle>
At the end the DCP have subtitles in the dcp folders, but some players skip the subtitles because the language field is empty.

the error is:
Warnings for PKL "E:/musicom/video_NTSC/test_dcp_o_matic/Test_FTR-1_F_51_2K_20141210_IOP\3ba34bef-8e76-4079-94ff-33209e491b0e_pkl.xml":

Skipping subtitle track file entry from CPL, because it is marked as corrupt in PKL.

I tried to add a language code in the xml. It seems work but dcp can't play anyway because the subtitle file change size adding language code.

There is some work around for this problem? I generated signed dcp, so I can't edit xml...
