DCP Starting Timecode

Post by ainsophaur »

Why does the timecode begin at 00:00:00:00? Isn't the standard to start at 1 hour?

I ask because the embedded timecode in my content starts at 01:00:00:00. Likewise, my subtitles have the same timecode.

But, because the DOM TC starts at 00, it messes up the placement of the subtitle files when I drop them in.

Am I doing something wrong?

DCP has no standard offset. It should be easy to give your subs an appropriate 1hr offset in captions properties.
