File Formats

Post by Arrimantim »

Hi - I'm getting ready to export my first DCP file and I was wondering about what is the best codec to IMPORT into DCP-O-Matic? I have a short film exported in both 4k and HD in ProRes 4444 at 23.98fps. Is PR 4444 an acceptable format? Or should I go with something more compressed?

Thanks!

We had occasional issues with some of the higher profile codecs some time ago, but I think they are solved. ProRes4444 shows a similar quality/data rate relation as DCP/J2K.
