Batch process

Post by dolph »

Hi, can I make a batch list. I have 21 dip's to make. If I ingest al films it will make 1 timeline, 1 film. Thanks in advance, Dolph van Stapele

HI Dolph,
You can create 21 projects in the main DCP-o-matic, but without clicking "make dcp", then start the batch converter and add your 21 projects to it. Then it will encode them all one by one without further intervention.

Carl - one nice addition to the 'Jobs' menu in DOM would be 'Send to Batch converter'. So you could create your DCPs one after the other, while they are queued up in the batch converter. That would free up DOM for creating new projects.

That's a good idea.

That would also be one step to speed up multi-DCP generation e.g. for festivals, as we discussed before.
