Changing the audio track

Post by spark »

Hi all, this is my first post here.

I have just compiled a long movie into a dcp. Now i have the need to substitute the old soundtrack with a new one without recompiling the whole jpeg2000 images. I tried to import the old DCP using the "add folder" option into the source tab. The video track along the audio are imported into the project but i cannot "delete" the old audio track. At least i have no idea on how to do that.

You don't need to "delete" the old audio track, just un-map it. Select your old DCP in the content list, select the "Audio" tab then click on all the green boxes to unmap the audio from the output DCP. Then add your new audio, make sure that's mapped right, and everything should be fine.

How i can proceed, to reuse the old jpeg2000 mxf without recalculation?

That will happen automatically so long as you don't change any video settings.
