Two different languages at the same time? Import both subtitle files, then use the settings to adjust the vertical position of one or other so they don't overlap.

Details of subtitle formats and so on are in the manual.

Hi kmeh7,

Do you want both languages to appear on screen at the same time like Carl suggests?

Or do you want the subtitles to be selectable (one language OR the other) at projection time? If so, that would be a case of creating an OV ("Original Version") and two VFs ("Version Files") that refer to the OV.

Hi ,

Thanks for your help.

I want to make dcp with two subs both NOTappearing together.

I want to make dcp where i can select which one to show during projection.

I guess thats is done via versioning of dcps ??!!! I am not aware of it.

Any info for the same or link will be helpful.

Thanks in advance

In that case you need to do as Anders says. You would need one DCP with the video and audio (called the OV) and then two more DCPs which each refer to the first and add your subtitles (called the VF). For projection both the OV and the chosen VF would be ingested, then the VF would be played.

Read up on it in the manual then let us know if you have questions.

Hi,
Thanks for the info.

I have already made dcp . Now they want me to just add two langusge subtitle on it.

Will DOM reencode everything ? I mean will take the same time or j2k encoding will be bypassed?

Srt file needs to be of same lenght ?
Or can i offset srt file ?

Thanks in
advance

I just added some notes to the manual on how to do exactly this task. Perhaps you could let me know if they make sense.

It depends how you do it. It should never have to re-encode everything.

Whatever length you like.

When i make two VF,
I see DOM make seperate folder for VF.

Shd i merge all the OV and VF folders ?

Or shd i just give them seperately in different folders??

Thanks in advance
