Hi,
Using DCP-O-Matic to rewrap dcps.. Good work on the extended CPL metadata capabilities.
But, in the resulting CPL.xml file, the Creator and Issuer are hard set to
libdcp1.6.4devel
These SHOULD hold the correct values and I consider this a BUG as they are not containing the required data.
It should match the values set in the software and that DO appear correct in the ASSETMAP.
Using: 2.15.154
Windows.

That is indeed a bug: thanks. It will be fixed in the next alpha release.

What are these supposed to mean anyway?

Re: BUG: Issuer and Creator tags in CPL, do not appear configurable.
In general, they are not important for the technical functionality of a DCP. They are meant to transport a signature of you as a mastering entity and/or the mastering software used to create the DCP. You may leave them as they are, or set to something that you might consider useful.
When I look at commercial DCPs, sometimes they carry useful information, sometimes cryptic abbreviations. Often, the DCP mastering software and version can be found in them.
If a DCP turns up that shows issues, it could be useful to track it down to a specific type and version number of the software used to create it.
