Subtitles start in sync but as film progresses stat to lag progresivly behind

Post by funkytwig »

Is this that they were created in the wrong frame rate? Can these be changes in DCP-O-Matic/the file or do they need to be recreated?

That's the most likely reason. DCP-o-matic will assume that they were created for the frame rate of the video that they are alongside. If that's not the case you need to right-click on the subtitle file, choose "Advanced settings..." and set "video frame rate that the content was prepared for" to the right value.

Wow, thanks, that was quick I set it to 23.976 and it worked. Thanks. Does this mean the set file was created at 23.976?

Either that or something else is going wrong!

Where does this subtitle file come from? Masters from not strictly cinematic cameras are often 23.976fps.
