This resolution calls for lightening the discussion a bit:

If it's not a problem, I intent make whatever aspect ratio I want, given that I will zoom, mask and create a proper projector preset before I screen it.
I might make a test pattern for each of those aspect ratios, to help the cinema technician with that.
After all, that's what everyone does (or should do), if they want to introduce a non-standard (standard being only Flat and Scope) aspect ratio and screen it properly.

That needs preparation on the theaters, mostly (not the DCP authoring program), and not all cinemas have the resources for it for one movie only. That's why a major release recently came out in both Flat (letterboxed) and Scope (pilarboxed) containers.
