Stereo audio to 6 - 5.1 Audio

+1 for the UM226. Use it all the time to upmix our ad reel from stereo to 5.0. No LFE as it's too unpredictable depending on the source content.

You need to enable the Mid-Side Decoder in the Audio section of the DCP tab.

Like the OP, I have several files with 2.0 stereo tracks. If I enable Mid-Side Decoder in the DCP Audio tab to create a center channel, do I also map the two channels to the center as described in the manual? https://dcpomatic.com/manual/html/ch06s05.html#idp13

No. Your source will show only L/R, and the center will be created automatically. If you enable Mid/Side decoder, all DCP audio channels beyond L and R will be disabled in the audio Matrix.
