What happens when you don't set both channels to 16?

It says 'Audio could not be analysed'. Even if I delete the analysis folder.

Weird, I can't reproduce that. What sort of content are you using? Anything in the log? Perhaps you could enable audio analysis debugging in advanced prefs and try it.
