Best way to crop 3512 x 2538 to 2K for DCP
The client sent me DPX files in 3515 x 2538 (1.37 academy ratio). I believe a DCP in 1998 x 1080 would be the best format. What application would you suggest i use to downrez my DPX ? Thanks

DCP-o-matic will do it using FFmpeg's bicubic interpolation, which I think is quite good (if you import your files and select 2K Flat for the container it should work). I'll leave others to suggest more high quality options...

Use No Scale or No Stretch, and use a Flat Container as Carl suggests, creating a pillarboxed version in a flat container. In the DCNC/ISDCF name it should say F-137.
You could as well go 4k. All real cinema servers can play 4k, no matter if they have an actual 4k Projector or not. Some festivals with softwareplayers could fail.
Scale to Academy is also possible, but introduces a minor horizontal squeeze.
