Why not? That way, especially new users can see what is possible and supported? Same could be visible (greyed out again) when no content is selected?

Maybe you're right. It does look a bit odd with no tabs. My initial reason was that they don't all fit on some screen resolutions.

Oops - cool down Carl, I think that is a bit too much in 2.13.39 - now missing the Timing Tab even for video/audio content

Oh dear! It is a bit hot here. Putting the timing tab back makes it look a bit less scary.
