dcpomatic_server_cli on debian virtual server CRASH under XEN virtual infrastructure

Post by seven »

Hello,
I have two DELL T310 dedicated server , running XEN Server virtualization infrastructure with 16gb of ram each and an Intel Xeon 2.9ghz cpu.

I have installed dcpomatic debian client on each virtual server on each dedicated server, each virtual server have 2gb of dedicated ram,
when I run the dcpomatic server and start the DCP job, after some minutes both processes crash with "out of memory" error and the process is killed by the system.

Question: which is the minimum ram to have the dcpomatic linux client running within a virtual machine to take advantage of unused power of dedicated server with virtual infrastructure os? I want to use the power of 16 core and 32gb of ram that are working at 30% of its hardware power.

Code: Select all

~# dcpomatic_server_cli -t 8
dcpomatic: failed to load configuration (XML file does not exist)
Killed
