Fix Prores 422HQ slightly underexposed to DCP

Post by dff.ffm »

Hi everyone,
have received a prores 422hq file (codec 2004.06); which is slightly to dim. At my monitor; and resulting dcp at screen, too.
Is there any way to lighten up slightly dcp via color conversion settings? Maybe by setting another entry gamma? Kind regards, Guenther

Yes, you may try a different gamma setting. We never wanted brightness/contrast/color controls in DCP-o-matic.

... "fix" worked by using the REC 709 preset but set an entry gamma of 2.0; all other settings unchanged.
